10×10 Philanthropy relaunches in Adelaide

Impact100 members were out in force on 14 June at Lot Fourteen to support philanthropy in South Australia. After a hiatus of several years, 10 x 10, a collective giving circle that is aimed at the next generation of changemakers, came together at Stone and Chalk at Lot Fourteen, supporting three grassroots organisations, two of them past Impact100 SA grantees, Cottages 4 Country Care SA, Grandcarers SA (formerly known as Grandparents for Grandchildren SA), and Gold Foundation.

In much the same way as Impact100, 10 x10 aims to get 100 people to donate, which in this case is a minimum of $100 and then after hearing organisations pitch, as a variation, the presenters are grilled by a “shark” (Executive Director of Property Council of SA and former international soccer player Bruce Djite,) participants decide where their donation will go.

It was a successful night with both funds and the profile of lesser-known charities being raised, while having fun and connecting with other generous South Australians.
