Brenton was ‘keen’ to join Impact100 SA after learning about our giving circle from his daughter, Jasmin, who serves on the Management Committee.
Brenton retired from the role of Director of the Emergency Management Office in the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission (SAFECOM) in September 2022 after a 40+ year career in South Australia’s emergency service and emergency management sectors. Brenton served in senior leadership roles in the State’s three emergency services and over the last 15 years worked on strategic, whole-of-government/society, all hazards, state and national emergency management policy, projects and initiatives, with a particular focus on climate change.
I support Impact100 because it brings together the power of community and the strength of collective philanthropy to create lasting change. Knowing that my contribution is part of something bigger – a grant that can transform a not for profit’s impact – brings purpose and fulfillment to my giving. The Impact100 model amplifies each individual’s contribution and channels it into carefully selected initiatives that align with my values and desire for a better world.
