This month’s member spotlight is on Brooke Sivendra, a new volunteer on our Membership Committee and new member who joined at last year’s event, after hearing about the impact of Impact.
Just like Impact100 SA, everything begins with an idea, and Brooke Sivendra knows this all too well. A natural storyteller, Brooke walked away from a career in nuclear medicine to write fiction novels. While her readers are primarily in America, Brooke is based in Adelaide and originally from Cleve, which as most of you know, is a small town on the Eyre Peninsula.
Brooke attended the 2022 Awards Night as a guest (thank you, Rachel Maddern!) and loved the concept of Impact100 SA so much that she joined that very night. Brooke says it was the opportunity for local charities to obtain substantial funding, as well as business support and mentoring to maximise their potential, that sold her on joining as a member.
More recently, Brooke wanted to further support Impact100 SA and reached out to see if there was anything she could do to help our team. Brooke has since joined the membership committee and she’ll use her talent with words to craft news and stories to help share the impact of our work.
Since 2015, Brooke has published more than 20 romantic suspense-thriller novels and has kindly offered a personally signed copy of her latest novel “The Hack”, which we will give to one lucky member.
For a chance to win a copy, please send in your own Impact100 SA member story in 250 words or less, to secretariat@impact100sa.org.au telling us a little about yourself and why you choose to support Impact100 SA and the other causes or organisations that you support, as well as a favourite photograph.
