Celebrating volunteers

Many in our community are trying to promote and celebrate the vital role volunteers play, including the SA Government Department of Human Services who recently recognised several of our community volunteers at its annual Awards night on 6 June at a wonderful ceremony at the Convention Centre.

It is always awe-inspiring to hear the stories of these people and the difference they are making. Pictured above is Grandparents for Grandchildren CEO, Mike Fezcszak, together with Impact100 SA chair Kathryn House and Minister for Human Services, Hon Nat Cook MP.

Our incredible Impact100 SA community is filled with generous philanthropists and community champions, who volunteer and support thousands of other charities and community organisations in South Australia. They give their time, their treasure, their talent (on boards and providing mentoring services), their ties and connections, and their testimony, like all of you who tell your friends about Impact100 SA.

Some of you will receive recognition for your generosity, hard work and contribution by way of an award, but it is likely that most of you won’t. Please know that however you choose to give, your gift is valued and important and is making South Australia a better place.
