It is with great pleasure that we announce JusticeNet SA and Cottages 4 Country Care have each been awarded a $100,000 grant!
Impact100 South Australia last night held its sixth Grant Event night, with TWO $100,000 grants awarded thanks to the generosity and continued commitment from our members.
See all the photos from the event on our Facebook page, here!
We were honoured to have The Hon. Rachel Sanderson MP, The Right Hon. Lord Mayor of Adelaide Sandy Verschoor, as well as our ambassadors, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC, Carolyn Hewson AO, and Raymond Spencer in attendance.
Cottages 4 Country Care, JusticeNet SA Inc, Lion Hearts Learning Inc and Technology for Ageing and Disability (SA) each gave incredible presentations, before members lodged their votes.
Carolyn Hewson AO, an Impact100 SA Ambassador, also interviewed last year’s winners from Grandparents for Grandchildren SA and United Way SA after first talking with members about why she supports Impact100 SA.
Kevin Scarce AC and Raymond Spencer then announced the winners, presenting the $100,000 cheques to JusticeNet SA and Cottages 4 Country Care.
In addition, a further two $25,000 grants were awarded to finalists Lion Hearts Learning Inc, and Technology for Ageing and Disability (SA).
Impact100 SA chairperson and emcee for the night, Kathryn House AM, also updated members on the 2021 grant year and confirmed that there will be two themes for grant applications based on the Impact100 SA Board having listened to the survey results from our members. Broadly, members said that you:
Our Grants Assessment Committee will make an announcement regarding the two themes and an EOI will be released in March 2021. More information, including how to apply will be on the website soon.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Arkaba Hotel, Coopers Ale, O’Leary Walker, Coriole Wines, Hughes PR, and for the entertainment provided by the very talented Tahlia, who is a peer group mentor and former beneficiary of our grant to Operation Flinders.
An enormous thank you to all of our members whose generosity continues to empower deserving organisations to make a real difference to the lives of South Australians.
Keep your eyes on your email as we’ll share a video from the night in the coming weeks!
