Grant Theme Announcement: February 2022

Thank you to everyone who attended Impact100 SA’s annual Grants Theme Announcement night at the Mercury Cinema.

Thanks to Mercury CX, the home of independent cinema, and Dancing Road, a wholly-owned South Australian production company, our supporters were able to attend an exclusive screening of Dancing Road’s latest feature film in its current stage of post-production, prior to its global release by a major studio in 2022.

Following the 90 minute film screening, Impact100 SA supporters were treated to a unique opportunity to gain firsthand information on the filmmaking process and to meet with the talented South Australian filmmakers, director and editor Sean Lahiff and producers Gena Ashwell and Helen Leake AM at the post-screening Q&A.

Thank you to all the Mercury CX team, including CEO, Karena Slaninika and Impact100 SA member and Board Treasurer, Gail Fuller for providing this wonderful opportunity for us, together with our events team, Jackie Newton, Nikki Hamdorf and helpers.

Prior to the film screening, Impact100 SA chairperson, Kathryn House announced our grants’ themes for the coming year, those being:

  • Helping young people succeed;
  • Assisting all people to have the tools to be self-sufficient.

Thank you also to everyone who participated in our poll, voting for their two favourite grants’ themes for the year!
