Young Impact100 SA Grant Day: August 2024

Our Young Impact program is over for another year, and just when we think our Grants Day couldn’t get any better, our young people take centre stage and overwhelm us with their passion for philanthropy!

This year the students raised a total of $27, 233.48 for St John’s Youth Services, Treasure Boxes and With Love Formal Wear.

We were thrilled to be hosted by Dr Colin Taylor and Amanda Rigano and their team at the University of South Australia who provided a venue for us.

We were also grateful to;

  • Livi Adcock for performing for us
  • All our student presenters, in particular Ned Manifold who pitched on behalf of Treasure Boxes
  • Mandy at Mandy Adcock Photography
  • Gina for her video of the day
  • Yochi for vouchers for participants
  • Garth at Kwikkopy for our giant cheques
  • Amy at Crawford Doran Real Estate for certificates for participants
  • Fiona and Kirsty at the Lang Family Foundation who agreed to match all funds raised by Young Impact members
  • Our three participating charities
  • All our super supportive families who volunteered on the day with registration and counting votes and everything else
  • And finally, all the students and their families who supported us on the day

We love that our young philanthropists are not only learning about the important role that the “for purpose” sector plays in our society, but they are also volunteering and learning great skills in event planning, public speaking, budgeting, while also having fun!

Since Young Impact was created in 2021, Young Impact has raised awareness and a total of $64,109.23 for 12 different community organisations in South Australia.

Young Impact will be back in 2025, launching on Sunday 30 March. For further details, please contact kathryn@impact100sa.org.au

Together, we can make a difference.
